
Kadapa MP and YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy has moved the CBI Court in Nampally for a bail after spending a night at Chanchalguda Jail. The hearing on bail petition has been posted to May 31 by the court.
On the other hand, the sources said that the CBI is likely to move Andhra Pradesh High Court for filing a petition to take Jagan into their custody. It may be noted that Jaganmohan Reddy entered the prison last evening at 5.35 PM. He had been treated as a special category prisoner wherein he would getting half-litre milk, provision to cook food, meet the family members and friends twice in a week and a fan and TV (with only Doordarshan) are provided in his barrack.
Jaganmohan Reddy met his mother YS Vijayamma and his wife Bharati at the prison. Now that Jaganmohan Reddy is in jail, his mother Y S Vijayamma is going to take the lead in the eletion campaign for by-polls to 18 assembly constituencies. Nonetheless, Vijayamma has written a letter to the election commission stating that her son was arrested undemocratically just 15 days ahead of by-polls.
Further, the sources have said that the enforcement directorate too is gearing up for questioning Jaganmohan Reddy in illegal assets case. (Phani)
