The counsels of Sakshi media group who challenged the freezing of accounts by CBI have told the court today that the monthly expenditure of Sakshi media group is Rs. 35 crore. They also provided the break-up stating that Rs. 20 crore would towards newsprint (unprinted paper) while eight crore rupees for the salaries and seven crore rupees towards the administration.
The petition challenging the freezing of accounts came for hearing before the court today. Citing the monthly expenditure of Sakshi media group, the counsels have prayed the court to quash the order keeping in view the welfare of the employees of Sakshi. Meanwhile, the attorneys of CBI have told the counsels of Jaganmohan Reddy that new accounts can be opened for salary purposes.
The court after hearing the arguments of both sides has deferred the next hearing to May 21. (Phani)
