The rush at Tirumala on Thursday was said to be moderate. However, it’s still taking 9 hours for devotees to have a glimpse of Lord Balaji. Usually, heavy rush will be reported in summer and in free darshan it would sometimes take up to 24 hours to seek blessings.
In fact, keeping in view the same, TTD authorities even cancelled laghu darshan, which had been in place for the past two years. In laghu darshan the devotees would be allowed to look at the deity from closer compared to other darshans. This laghu darshan was only implemented on Tuesdays and Wednesdays since these two days, the rush will be comparatively low. Nonetheless, even these days are no exception in summers. So, the laghu darshan will be in a suspended state till summer completes. However, there’s no information from the officials whether laghu darshan would be re-implemented after summer.
Anyway, lets wait and see as to what other steps TTD would take in view of summer rush.
