Four Maoists including two women, all of them from AP, were arrested in Thane this morning.

A top Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) official told journalists in Mumbai the Maoists were taken into custody on a tip off. “Greyhound teams from AP and ATS teams from Mumbai participated in the operation leading to their arrest,” he said.

The official said the special teams had recovered some cash and computers from their possession.
It may be mentioned that only on Thursday Kolkata police and Greyhound teams of AP had together arrested five AP Maoists in Kolkata. (J)
