Rumours are agog among congress political circles that CBI may arrest the YSR Congress president Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy in his illegal assets case any time now but before April 2, the deadline for filing of charge sheet in the special CBI court at Nampally in Hyderabad.

Reports in a section of the media said that CBI has already prepared ground for his arrest by collecting evidences in the case but may collect more solid evidence before affecting the arrest.

Senior police officials are also of the view that CBI may not arrest Jagan without a concrete evidence of his involvement in the case. “If there is concrete evidence, the investigating agency could have already arrested him by now. It is only waiting for collecting solid evidence and he may not be arrested before April 2, the last date for the CBI to file charge sheet,” said the sources.

This means the arrest of Jagan may take place any time before April 2.  There is a second opinion among some police officials that Jagan may be arrested even after filing charge sheet also. (JUBS)
