Violence by men in uniform leads to the death of an auto driver in Guntur district. The police were inspecting all vehicles at the Gurugupalem village in Chebrole Mandal of the district. One auto driver Venkateswarlu did not stop and tried to speed away. The angry Sub-Inspector caught hold of the driver and assaulted him. The victim died while being treated at a hospital.

Venkateswarlu belonged to Tenali and was an auto driver. He dared the police at the inspecting post. And when he tried to speed away, he was caught by the police. The incident evoked tension and in the process the police official got very furious and assaulted the driver. Venkateswarlu succumbed to the injury. His condition at the time of assault is unknown at the moment. The check by the police was a regular done by the night patrol team.
