Rajam’s presence at Azad house raises eyebrows

The presence of Mr Rajam, main stake holder in the Namaste Telangana Telugu daily, in the house of the Union Minister and in charge of the AP congress affairs Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad in Delhi when CM Kirankumar reddy met him on Wednesday, has raised eyebrows and become a hot topic of discussion among political circles.

Reports said Rajam reached the house of Azad minutes before the arrival of Kiran there. He was even present during the one and half hour discussions that took place between Kiran and Azad. Rajam left the place after Kiran and Azad had left to meet party president Sonia Gandhi.

The presence of Rajam at the house of Azad gains significance as it comes ahead of the finalization of Polavaram project tender by a special high powered committee in Hyderabad.

Political circles are agog with rumours that Kiran must have also discussed the Polavaram tenders issue with Azad apart from the matters of the cabinet expansion. Reports said Mr Rajam also met PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana and Vijayawada congress MP Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal.

It might be mentioned TDP leaders have alleged that TRS has withdrawn the all people’s strike and slowed down the Telangana agitation after getting the Polavaram project tender initially finalized in the name of a contracting firm owned by Rajam, a business partner of KCR. (JUBS)
