The High Court today granted a stay on the AP Administrative Tribunal’s order suspending the Group -1 interviews.
The HC allowed the APPSC to conduct the interviews from Jan 4 as scheduled but directed the government recruiting organization to hold the appointments till final disposal of the case. This means the APPSC can conduct the interviews but can’t send appointment letters to the successful candidates till the state apex court finally gives its green signal.
Earlier in the day, the APPSC has filed a petition in the court seeking cancellation of the tribunal’s order suspending the Group -1 interviews.
The APPSC said in its petition that the AP Administrative Tribunal suspended the interviews without going into the merits and demerits of the case and requested the high court to permit it to conduct the interviews and finish the recruitment process.
The administrative tribunal suspended the interviews after hearing some petitions filed by the failed Telugu candidates who argued that there are mistakes in translation of English questions. (JUBS)
