No flying high on flyovers after the New Year bash- Traffic Police

To maintain public order, Hyderabad police have imposed several restrictions on party-goers celebrating the New Year. Public are restricted from using all flyovers. The traffic restrictions are strictly to be adhered on NTR Marg, Necklace Road and Tank Bund, announced city Police Commissioner AK Khan. All cautions have to be followed from 10pm tonight. Having a driver to drive you down is the best option for the day.

The police don't plan to be lenient towards women drivers either if they are caught violating traffic rules. There would be women traffic officers to deal with such cases. Music at the parties, dancing, consumption of alcohol, rash driving and drunken driving will be under close surveillance of the police. Police also warned that parties have to wind up by 1 am on January 01, 2012 and sound levels must not exceed 45 decibels.

Drugs usages and leniency in excess invitees or any other compliance must be within standards and failing to do so will attract severe punishments, said the police. While the New Year eve must be celebrated merrily, it must not be a disturbance to others. The precautions are to avoid any untoward incidents, probably this is the feeling of the city cops. So those of you out there for a party, get back to the warm interiors of your home before you are caught up with cold or by the police.
