Kerala police arrested two teenagers two days ago for raping their girl friends and uploading the visuals on the internet. Police are on the look out for a third teenager who is on the run.
The Varkala town police arrested them after registering cases under section 66C of the IT Act and IPC 376 for rape, sexual abuse and using the cyber media with malicious intentions.
The issue came to light when one of the victim girls came across her own visuals on a mobile phone belonging to one of her friends. She then complained to her parents who in turn approached police.
The two teenage boys were produced before a juvenile court which later granted them bail. Police said the boys and the girls were studying in different colleges situated at Kallambalam and Attingal. They used to meet quiet often after the boys said they were in love with them. “The boys used to take them to isolated places quite often in Varkala, have sex with them and record it without their knowledge,” said police.
Later, the boys used to upload the visuals on internet and also send them across mobile phones through Bluetooth. (JUBS)
