Responding to a story published in a leading Telugu daily today exposing the distress condition in which the late legendary actor NTR-founded Gandipeta Asram is situated, TDP leader Varla Ramaiah blamed the NTR TDP president Lakshmi Parvathy for its pitiable condition.

The daily said that several art pieces in the Asram were exposed to the vagaries of the nature resulting in their destruction and no one in the TDP ever thought of protecting the Asram founded by NTR during his tenure as CM.

“NTR resided in the Asram and daily he used to come to his office in the secretariat from this Asram after paying obeisance to the Telugu Talli statue but now the statue looks totally damaged as no one cared for it,” said the daily.

Ramaiah said that Lakshmi Parvathy took the matter to court. “We are ready to bring its glory back if Lakshmi Parvathy hands over the Asram to us. If she wants, we will give her some money,” he said. (JUBS)
