The special CBI court of Nampally in Hyderabad today dismissed the petition of Vijayasai Reddy, vice chairman of the Sakshi daily and a right hand man of YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan reddy alleging that CBI has been crossing its limits in the process of investigation.
“The CBI has been harassing the witnesses and forcing them to give evidence against Jagan during the course of its investigation into the alleged illegal properties case,” he alleged. Vijayasai Reddy also charged the CBI with conducting probe into the issues and transactions prior to 2004, though the high court didn’t ask it to go into those issues.
CBI denied the allegations and sought the dismissal of the petition arguing that Mr Vijayasai reddy has been trying to create hurdles in the investigations.
“Mr Reddy attended the CBI office almost daily but never opened his mouth. He didn’t reveal anything about the transactions though he knew every thing,” said CBI. (JUBS)
