It is the beginning of a new era for two good friends of long time acquaintance, which is culminating into marriage. Mega Star Shri Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni, the daughter of our AP Archery Association President Shri Anil Kamineni, the direct descendant of the Reddy Rajulu, the Domakonda Sansthan are engaged on Thursday at the "Temple Trees", Apollo farm house, near Gandipet. Incidentally Upasana is the granddaughter of the Indian Doyen in Hospital Industry Dr. Pratap C Reddy.
The grooming prince, young mega-power star arrived at the venue driven with love and affection by none other than our Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. Megastar arrived with his family members in Rolls-Royce car along with huge convoy. Chiru's mother Anjana Devi, Allu Aravid and his wife, Nagababu and Allu Arjun along with his wife came in other vehicles. This initiative by the Powerstar has proved his detractors wrong that there was an internal family feud within the Megastar’s family.
The chanting of sacred hymns by the priests marked the fervor of the event, when the star friends make their first move towards being celebrity couple. Well our young Cherry paired with his bosom friend Upasana by decorating a star studded golden ring on her finger. The moment was cherished by the two thousand inside and the millions watching on their television sets across the globe.
It may be noted since four days the area has been sensitized owing to the huge VVVIPs expected on the day. Elaborate decorations are being done at the venue. Entry at the venue is strictly through access cards issued along with the invitation. Senior police officials are involved in checking the security measures around the venue. The Governor of the State E S I Narasimhan graced the occasion and blessed the young mega couple. Megastar was the most elated on the occasion with the presence of dignitaries like CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, Dy CM Damodara Raja Narasimha, State Ministers and Political big wigs like DL.Ravindra Reddy, Galla Aruna Kumari, Raghuveera Reddy, Vatti Vasanth Kumar, Kanna Lakshminarayana, Danam Nagender, Ponnala Lakshmiah, Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, Sahajanati Jayasudha, Ganta Srinivasa Babu,Kanna Babu and also opposition leader and former CM N. Chandra Babu Naidu. Chiru was delighted to see Speaker Nadenla Manohar along with Cong state Chief Botsa Satya Narayana, former Chief D. Srinivas including MPs Keshavarao, V. Hanumantha Rao, Ponnam Prabhakar, Madhu Yashki, CC.Reddy and Lagadapati Rajagopal gracing the occasion.
But the event was marked by the presence of personalities from the filmy world, who were having a ball at the event relishing every moment of it. The most interesting was the long conversation between Junior NTR and Pawan Kalyan later joined by Rana, Victory Venkatesh and Tamanna. The word `Vasudhaika Kutumbam’ (meaning the world is one big Family) proved right while looking at the august gathering. Then one can realize the fact that the stars all are one and have regards for each other and it is only we who fight over them!!! They are undisturbed, undeterred and undistracted but we garner bitterness, enmity and hatred between us.
The celebrities included a wide list of South Indian bigwigs from ANR, Kaikala Satyanarayana, Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Shriya, Jayaprada, Trisha, Sarwanand, Ali, Brahmanandam, D.Ramanaidu, Rajamouli, Raghavendra Rao, Chalasani Ramesh, Ramesh Prasad, S.Gopal Reddy, KC.Sekhar Babu, Mohan Kanda and many others from the tinsel town.
A leading event management company from Delhi made the arrangements for the ceremony, for which flowers were specially flown in from Thailand. Guests were given a treat of cultural feast by world's renowned couple Vibha and Abhimanyu Lal followed by Tarana.
The event ended with a sweet note when the sumptuous dinner was served true to its mega opus status.
The memorable event shall live in the memories of the public for some time, till the wedding. As the wedding expectations are going higher and higher after looking at the elaborate arrangements made at the engagement, probably that could be the Mega Event of the Decade.
