Major fire in Banjara Hills, eight fire engines put into service

A multi-storied complex under construction was engulfed in fire last night, at the Banjara Hills Road no: 3 in Hyderabad. The fire was a major accident that is suspected to be caused due to short circuit in the building. Though no loss of life is reported, but property seems to have gone up in flames to a considerable extent.

The fire which engulfed the complex razed to ashes much, as fierce fire fighting had been assumed. Eight fire engines were pressed into service. The estimate of damage in fire which was out till the wee hours of the day is yet to be calculated. It’s too early to identify the particulars behind the latest catastrophe. But it’s likely that investigation will point to the electrical short circuit. The engulfing blaze can put fire in the worst place at the worst time, but its power depends on the capacity to spread and to destroy, which was imminent in this case.
