Mining man exposes Srilakshmi’s role

Mining business man Mr Balakrishna reddy of Kurnool today turned up at the CBI office at Koti in Hyderabad and gave an affidavit against the tainted IAS officer Srilakshmi, accused number 4 in the illegal mining case involving the former Karnataka minister Mr Gali Janardhan reddy.

Mr Reddy told the CBI officials that he applied for iron ore mining leases at Obulapuram in Ananthapuram district in 2008 but the then secretary in charge of mining Srilakshmi and the mining department director Mr Rajagopal had thrown his application into dust bin.

“Srilakshmi advised me to meet the then CM Mr YSR and his friend and Government adviser Mr KVP Ramachandra Rao but I told her I would not meet them,” he told the CBI officials in his affidavit.

He said he was also ready to give the affidavit in the presence of a magistrate. “I am here to expose the misdeeds of officials and I am ready to be a witness also,” he told journalists. (JUBS)
