A team of CBI officials, led by its Joint Director Mr VV Lakshminarayana, arrived at Krishnapatnam port in Sri Pottisriramulu Nellore district this morning from Hyderabad as part of the investigation into the illegal mining case registered against the former Karnataka Minister and mining baron Gali Janardhan reddy.
CBI, which has recently opened a make shift office in Bellary exclusively for investigation into Gali related cases, will grill the Krishnapatnam port officials on the quantities of iron ore shipped to various locations from there.
After getting the details of iron ore exported from the Krishnapatnam port from its officials, the team will compare them with the details mentioned in the account books of the Gali-owned company Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC).
The Hyderabad circle of the CBI, burdened with investigation into several high profile corruption scandals including illegal properties case registered against the YSR Congress chief Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy, is trying its best to complete the investigation into the illegal mining case as soon as possible.
