Breaking his silence on Telangana issue, former Chief Minister and TDP president Mr Chandrababu Naidu today said he is neutral on the demand for division of the state.
Speaking at a media conference at his party office in Hyderabad, Naidu reminded he had already declared that he would continue to protect his party in both Telangana and Seema Andhra areas. “As the party president, it is my responsibility to save my party in both areas and I want my party strengthened in both Andhra and Telangana regions. What is the wrong if I want to lead my party in both areas?” he asked.
Saying he is very much neutral on the issue of dividing the state into two, Naidu said the government failed totally to run the administration through alternative arrangements in view of the strike. “The inefficiency of the chief minister Kirankumar reddy and the unceremonious attitude of KCR and Kodanda Ram have pushed the state to the present position,” he charged.
Naidu alleged that Government remained a spectator despite the fertilizers being sold in the black market putting the farming community to a loss of nearly Rs.2000 Cr.
Finding fault with the attacks on private buses in the Andhra-Telangana meeting points in the Nalgonda district, he asked the agitators not to attack the innocent people who have nothing to do with the division of the state.
