Pro-Telangana agitators, accompanied by the striking RTC employees, today laid a siege to the house of the Rajendranagar TDP MLA Mr. Prakash Goud at Katedan in Hyderabad.

Raising slogans in support of the separate Telangana state, the RTC employees of the Rajendra nagar depot and other pro-Telangana elements barged into the MLA’s house and demanded the MLA to come out.

As Mr Prakash Goud was not at home, his brother came out and asked them to stop raising slogans. The RTC staff then submitted a memorandum and requested him to hand it over to his brother.

They told the MLA in the letter that MLAs must take the initiative to meet the Assembly Speaker and ensure that their resignations are accepted for the sake of Telangana. “Only a political crisis could lead to the creation of Telangana state and all MLAs who have resigned for the sake of Telangana must press for the acceptance of their resignations,” they said in the letter.
