Two persons were killed and four others severely injured in a road accident at the Ayyappa temple in Piduguralla of Guntur district this morning.

The accident occurred when a Qualis vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with a lorry coming in the opposite direction. Two persons travelling in the Qualis lost their lives while four other companions were injured in the incident.

Police rushed to the spot and got the injured admitted into the hospitals. Police said the dead and the injured belonged to Piduguralla town.
