PrinceRamcharanCBI investigators probing the APIIC-Emaar land scam are likely to quiz Tollywood celebrities Mr Mahesh Babu, his wife Ms. Namrata and Ram Charan Tej, according to sources. Ms. Galla Padmavathy, daughter of the minister Ms. Galla Arunkumari and officials of Brahmani Steels are also likely to face interrogation from the CBI sleuths.

Reports said that all of them have been issued notices and the CBI will quiz Mahesh Babu and his wife on September 14, Ram Charan Tej on September 15 and Galla Padmavathy the very next day.

The Tollywood stars had reportedly bought villas in the land developed by Emaar MGF at Gachibowli at throwaway prices. The CBI charged in its FIR that majority of the buyers paid only Rs 5,000 per square yard despite the fact that the registration charges itself were Rs 12,000 per square yard.

CBI Joint director VV Lakshminarayana, when contacted, neither denied nor confirmed the reports and merely said he would have to verify the files.

Meanwhile, CBI SP Mr Venkatesh had interrogated Mr Vijaya Sai Reddy, vice chairman of Jagathi Publications in the alleged illegal properties case registered against Jaganmohan Reddy, YSR congress chief for more than five hours on Sunday.
