With the active involvement of mega star and congress leader Chiranjeevi, the PCC leadership in the state has decided to embark on a programme to strengthen the congress in the state from all angles.

The programme consists of conducting mega public meetings in the four corners of the state with the full involvement of the former PRP activists and congress workers and the actor-turned politician would be the star attraction at all public meetings.

The first of such massive public meetings will be held at Visakhapatnam on September 18 and will have the presence of Chiranjeevi, Botsa Satyanarayana and the Chief Minister Kirankumar Reddy. Party sources said that leaders and workers of erstwhile PRP and congress parties of Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Vijayanagaram and East Godavari districts will participate in the meeting.

Two weeks later, another massive public meeting will be held in Guntur and congress leaders expect the people of Guntur, Krishna, West Godavari, Prakasam and Nellore districts to attend it.

This will be followed by another meeting at Ananthapuram or Kurnool for the sake of the Rayalaseema districts. These decisions were taken at a meeting held at the residence of PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana last night. Several former PRP leaders attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, Botsa asked the senior leaders of the former PRP to give him a list of leaders to be accommodated in the party and nominated posts in various districts.
