The CBI authorities today questioned Mr Potluri Varaprasad, the head of the PVP Ventures on the company’s investments in Jagathi Publications.
The investigating officials called Mr. Varaprasad to the CBI office and gave him a questionnaire and sought answers with regard to his investments in the Jagan group of companies. Mr Prasad’s companies Platex and PVP Ventures are said to be involved in the diversion of funds from Mauritius to the Jagan’s media concern Jagathi Publications.
Earlier reports said that Rs.150 Cr was routed through Varaprasad-owned companies in Mauritius to Jagathi Publications violating all foreign exchange laws. The investigating teams have also seized certain bank documents and statements from Varaprasad, according to sources. The same are being examined.
Meanwhile, the CBI has launched its second round of raids and searches on some of the organizations involved in the APIIC-Emaar land allotment scandal today.
