PRP founder president and mega star Mr Chiranjeevi today joined the congress party in the presence of party general secretary Rahul Ganhi at the AICC office in Delhi. Union Minister and in-charge of the congress affairs in AP Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad was also present on the occasion.
With Chiranjeevi joining the congress party by taking its primary membership, the PRP merger with the congress party is now complete.
On Monday, on the occasion of Chiranjeevi’s birth day, all PRP MLAs and leaders will join the congress party at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad. Azad, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana and chief minister Kirankumar reddy will attend the function apart from Chiranjeevi.
