Stylish star Allu Arjun-starrer ‘Vedam’ bagged the Nandi Award for the best movie of the year 2010 while Nandamuri Bala Krishna was chosen for the best actor award for his action in ‘Simha’.

Announcing the awards in Hyderabad today, Nandi Awards Jury chairman Mr N. Shankar said heroine Nitya Menon and actor Dharmavarapu Subramanyam bagged the best actress and best comedian awards respectively for the year 2010.

The winners of Nandi awards in other sections are as follows.

Second best moive –Ganga Putrulu

Third best movie- Prasthanam

Best family entertainer-Andari Bandhuvaya

Best children’s movie-Little Buddha

Best comedian actress-Ghansi

Best supporting actress-Pragathi ( Eemaindi Eevela)

Best director-Sunil Kumar Reddy ( Ganga Putrulu)

Best debutant director-Nandini reddy (Ala Modalaindi)

Best screenplay-Gowtham Menon( Ee Maya Chesave)

Best music director –Chakri ( Simha)

Best singer-Keeravani ( Maryada Ramanna)

Best female singer –Pranavi( Snehageetham)

Best Villan-Nagi Reddy( Maryada Ramanna)

Best lyric writer –Nandini Siddha reddy

The Government also announced the Nandi Awards for other departments such as special jury section, visual arts, Make-up, choreography, editing and dubbing.
