A chemical reactor exploded in the Aurobindo Pharma company’s unit at Gullamatanuru village in Hatnura Mandalam of Medak district today resulting in the outbreak of a big fire in the factory.

The explosion and the fire took place in the 9th unit of the factory when workers were discharging their responsibilities.

Sources said all the workers ran of the factory in fear soon after the accidental explosion of the rector. Revenue and civil officials have rushed to the spot along with fire extinguishers and efforts are on to put out the fire when reports last came in.
