Saying that the statements of the Union Ministers on Telangana are not giving any confidence to think that Telangana state would be created, Telangana political JAC convener Prof Kodanda Ram today demanded the Centre to announce a clear decision on the issue on or before August 1.

Speaking to media persons in Delhi along with Mr Swami Goud, the convener of the JAC of the Telangana Employees’ Associations after meeting leaders of national parties, Kodanda Ram threatened to freeze the administration in the state with their general strike of all employees if Telangana is not announced on or before August 1.

“BJP and other parties have announced their support to our agitation from August 2 and general strike from August 17,” Kodanda Ram and Swamy Goud disclosed. They said that BJP senior leader Ms Sushma Swaraj had promised them to raise the issue of Telangana in the monsoon session of parliament.

Both the leaders asked the TDP MLAs to quit their posts again for the sake of Telangana. “People would teach them a lesson if they don’t quit,” said Swamy Goud.
