Minister Kanna brought to safety at SimikotEnding the anxious moments, Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana, his two sons and Bhimili MLA Srinivas, who were stranded at the hilly hamlet Hilsa on the Indo-Nepal-Tibetan border along with other pilgrims during their pilgrimage to the Manasa Sarovaram on Sunday, were this morning brought to the Simikot safely by two special helicopters of the Nepali Army.
 
The Nepali Army, at the request of the Indian government and AP Government, has kept ready two helicopters to ferry Lakshminarayana and his troop of pilgrims to safety after they were abandoned to their fate by their travel agent Southern Travels.
 
The choppers could not reach the place on Sunday where the Minister and other pilgrims were stranded because of the inclement weather.

Kanna and his batch gave anxious moments on Sunday to the AP Government and the people of the state after they were forced to spend the day in the chilliest weather of the Himalayas on a ghat road between two icy hillocks at Hilsa on the Nepal-Tibetan border.
