Police lathi charge TRS activists

Police lathi charge TRS activistsPolice laticharged and dispersed anarchic TRS activists who had obstructed the convoy of the TDP MLAs proceeding to the party’s Telangana Rana Bheri at Tandur in Ranga Reddy district this evening.

The TRS activists stopped the convoy of TDP leaders and MLAs who are coming from Vikarabad side and thrown eggs, stones and tomatoes forcing the TDP activists to clash with them and leading to tension in the area.

Police resorted to lathi charge to disperse the violent TRS activists who threatened to block the moment of the TDP MLAs but ultimately the MLAs could proceed to the Rana Bheri venue with police intervention.

Earlier, there were doubts whether the Rana Bheri public meeting organized by the TDP Telangana Forum would be held as scheduled as Tandur experienced heavy downpour. But MLAs started for the venue as the rain receded allowing the meeting to go on.

There was a heavy police presence at the venue as the TRS threatened to disrupt the meeting.
