Governor ESL Narasimhan today cleared the appointment of technical education minister Damodar Rajanarasimha as the Deputy Chief Minister. Sources said the governor signed the file and forwarded it to the CMO.

According to reports, the CM will make an official announcement shortly and Rajanarasimha will take over his new responsibilities in a day or two.

After the election to the Assembly Speaker and Deputy Speaker posts, the party high command has acted quickly and appointed transport minister Botsa Satyanarayana as the new PCC chief in place of D. Srinivas. Botsa will take over his new responsibility tomorrow at Gandhi Bhavan.

As part of the efforts to revamp the image of the party and the government in the state, the state cabinet also will go for a reshuffle before this month end as per the assertions of Botsa. The political circles are agog with rumours that four Reddy ministers may be dropped from the cabinet in the next reshuffle.

The CM has already hinted at filling up the nominated posts of various corporations along with cabinet reshuffle.
