Angered at the efforts of the TDP Telangana Forum to conduct Telangana Ranabheri public meeting in Karimnagar town under the party banner, TRS activists today tried to storm the house of senior TDP leader Errabilli Dayakara Rao in Warangal.Police, deployed at his house in large numbers as a precautionary measure since this morning, tried to prevent the TRS cadres from laying a siege and arrested more than 100 TRS workers who stoned the TDP leader’s house.
Dayakara rao was not in the house when the TRS cadres attacked it. He along with other TDP leaders of the Telangana region was on his way to Karimnagar from Hyderabad when the incident occurred.
Meanwhile, some pro-Telangana activists, presided over by Telangana Praja Front chairman Gaddar, gathered at the Gun Park memorial and vowed to continue the struggle to achieve Telangana.
“TDP is organizing the Karimnagar meeting to weaken the Telangana movement,” Gaddar alleged and demanded the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu to make a clear announcement supporting the separate Telangana state.
