The Jubilee Hills police of Hyderabad today registered cases against PRP founder-president and mega star Chiranjeevi and 11 other leaders of his party on the instructions of a Nampally criminal court.
Former PRP leader Mr. A. Srinivas filed a case against Chiranjeevi and other leaders of the party saying that the party had first announced support to the formation of separate state of Telangana but later on changed its version and expressed opposition to the separate state.
In his complaint to the court, Srinivas said that several people in Telangana have committed suicide because of the change of stand by the PRP and the party leaders including Chiru must be held responsible for these suicides.
The court had directed the police to book cases under sections 415, 153(2), 504, 505(2), 306 read with 120G of the IPC on May 12 and the police registered the cases today.
The cases were booked against Allu Aravind, Kotagiri Vidyadhara rao, Kala Venkat rao, C.Ramachandraiah, Mekala Satyanarayana, Sobha Nagi reddy, Yalamanchili Ravi, Ghanta Srinivas, Kottapalli Subbarayudu, Veda Vyas and Thota Srimurthulu, apart from Chiranjeevi.
