The number of MLAs present at the 48-hour hunger strike undertaken by the YSR congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy at Guntur in support of the farmers’ demands increased to 19 on the day two from 8 on the day one.

Congress MLAs Ms. Konda Surekha, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, Pilli Subhash Chandrabose, Srikanth reddy, Amarnath Reddy, Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy, Mekapati Chandrasekhara Reddy, Bala raju, Babu Rao, Sesha reddy, Sivaprasada reddy, Prasada Raju , Korla Bharathi and TDP rebel MLA Nallapu reddy Prasanna kumar reddy attended the fast.
 
Congress MPs Sabbam Hari, Mekapati Rajamohana reddy and congress MLCs Jupudi Prabhakara Rao, Pulla Padmavathy and Konda Murali also attended the camp.

However, congress MLAs Jayasudha, Alla Nani, Perni Nani, Gurnatha reddy, Shajahan, Peddireddy Ramachandra reddy, Balanagi reddy, Kunja Satyabathy are among those who were conspicuous by their absence.

PRP MLA Katasani Rami Reddy and congress MLA Kamalamma, who supported Jagan for a long time, came out of his fold and announced that they would stay with their parent parties.
