Jagan set to break national record

Jagan racing towards record breaking majority Even before the counting was over, YSR Congress party chief  Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is also the party’s candidate for the Kadapa Lok Sabha by election, had established a lead of more than 5,00,000 votes at the end of 10th round of counting in the bypolls held on May 8.
 
This was more than the majority of 4, 21,000 votes polled by his late father YSR in the 1991 Lok Sabha elections. The highest majority achieved in the Lok Sabha elections in the country till now is 5, 92.000.
 
Now, Jagan seems to be breaking this record too at the national level.
 
Reports at 2.45 PM said that Jagan was polled 6, 40,000 votes as against his nearest TDP rival Mysoora reddy who was polled 1,28,000 votes.
Jagan was leading over his nearest TDP rival Dr. MV. Mysoora Reddy while the congress candidate Dr. D.L. Ravindra Reddy was relegated to the third position.
 
Vijayamma crosses 81, 000 lead
 
In Pulivendula assembly constituency, Jagan’s mother YS Vijayalakshmi was leading by more than 81,000 votes over her brother-in-law and Congress candidate Y S Vivekananda Reddy at the end of 10th round of counting, when reports last came in.
Viveka was polled around 26,000 votes while the TDP candidate BTech Ravi is in third place with around 11,200 votes.
