Congress Party MLA and former minister, J.C.Diwakar Reddy feels that PRP chief’s decision of joining the hands of Congress Party will not bring any harm to the Congress Party. Speaking to the reporters at Rajahmundry today , the senior Congress Party leader opined that Chiru’s presence will rather consolidate the pary’s position in the state.
In a conflicting stand on this issue, Minister for IT, Sports, Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy, however, feels otherwise as he said that Congress Party will stand benefit little from allying with the actor-turned-politician.
Komati Redy Venkat Reddy, who is a strong supporter of according statehood for Telangana fears that the Congress Party will have a lot of explanation to give to the public and the party cadre in telangana, in the backdrop of Chiranjeevi’s earlier insistence on Telangana. It may be recalled that the PRP chief firmly opposes the idea of dividing the state in favour of Telangana.
