Seema Andhra JAC activists today raided the Jai ram theater in Guntur and forced the management to stop screening the movie ‘Jai Bolo Telangana’ arguing that the song ‘Gaaradi Chestundru’ written by TRS president K. Chandrasekhara rao is highly objectionable.
The activists demanded that the song be removed immediately from the movie and disrupted the screening for some time. JAC leaders and activists left the theatre after the management had promised to remove the song.
“The director has used the word ‘migrants’ referring to the Seema Andhra people settled in Hyderabad and it is also objectionable,” the leaders said. “The movie says Dr. BR Ambedkar had advocated creation of small states as it would lead to development and welfare of the people but it is not true,”
JAC activists also raided the theaters showing the movie in Kurnool and Rajahmundry saying some of the scenes in the movie are objectionable. In Rajahmundry, students tore away the posters of the movie and stopped its screening at Siva Jyothy theatre while in Kurnool the activists conducted a procession opposing the objectionable scenes and suicides.
