Guv concludes speech amid chaos

Joint session of assembly and council, chaos in assembly, Governor speechGovernor ESL Narasimhan completed his speech in just 14 minutes amid chaos in the joint session of the AP assembly and Legislative Council today. Narasimhan, who came to the assembly to launch its budget session with his speech, faced resistance from the TRS, BJP and TDP members of the Telangana region as soon as the both houses met to listen to him.
The BJP, TRS and Telangana TDP members tried to prevent the governor’s arrival into the assembly premises but he came to address the joint session through some other way. As soon as he began his speech, the members created chaos by tearing away the papers containing his speech and threw them towards the chair. They also threw newspapers, towels and mikes towards the Speaker’s chair.

The members raised slogans in favour of Telangana through the length of the governor’s speech asked him to go back. “The anti-Telangana Governor should go back,” they demanded.
TRS member Harish Rao was prevented by Marshals when he tried to barge into the Speaker’s podium in a defiant manner.
