Upcountry newspaper ‘Mail Today’ published a news story today disclosing that Pune based stud farm owner Hasan Ali, who was arrested and facing interrogation for stashing away black money in Swiss Banks, has revealed to the Enforcement Directorate during his interrogation that he had connections with a top hero of the Tollywood who has recently entered into politics in AP.

The ‘Mail Today’ story says Ali told his interrogators that apart from the top hero, he also had connections with some leading real estate business men, cine actors and politicians belonging to the southern states especially AP and Kerala.

Ali revealed to the investigators that he helped several politicians and actors including a former chief minister and opposition leader stash away their money to the tune of Rs.36,000 Cr in Swiss Banks.

The story goes on to add that a former chief minister stashed away block money in his account in Swiss Banks. “He said the politicians and others are using the money for producing films and spending in elections,” the paper said. He has also reportedly confirmed in his interrogation that he paid huge sums of money to different parties during the elections, the paper revealed.

The Supreme Court, losing its cool today on the slow progress of investigations into the black money dealings of persons with Swiss Banks, asked the Centre to reveal publicly as to what is happening in the case.

“We can’t sit idle after going through the status report. Let the people of this country know what is happening,” the court said making strong observations on the case. Earlier, Solicitor General Gopal Subramanium submitted to the court a status report on the case.
