YadurappaA special Lokayukta court of Karnataka on Saturday rejected the bail application of former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and ordered his immediate arrest.

A Lokayukta Deputy SP was asked to arrest him by the special court. The Karnataka High Court has already rejected his bail plea.

The Lokayukta Special Court ordered Yeddyurappa’s arrest in connection with two private complaints over his involvement in the de-notification of a government land in Bangalore.

The complaint was filed by Bangalore based advocate Sirajin Basha who alleged that Yeddyurappa and five others including his son and sons-in-law had indulged in irregularities in de-notifying government land in Rachenahalli in Bangalore South Taluk.

He said Yeddyurappa’s action has brought about a loss of Rs.40 Cr to the government.
