A wealthy American devotee of Sri Satya Sai Baba has reportedly come forward to bear the entire expenditure to install a pure golden statue of his spiritual master at the Baba Samadhi in the Prashanthy Nilayam in Puttaparthy.

 

Sources in Prashanthy Nilayam said the offer was made to the Satya Sai Central Trust but the Trust has not yet taken a decision on the offer. Meanwhile, batting wizard Sachin Tendulkar, a devotee of Sai Baba, has also suggested to the Trust to install a gold-covered statue of the Baba at his Samadhi.

 

Sources refused to reveal the name of the American devotee who offered to bear the expenditure for the installation of a gold statue for the Baba saying the Trust will meet on May 8 to take a decision on the issue.
