The Federation of AP Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) today met Chief Minister Mr Kirankumar Reddy at his camp office in Hyderabad and appealed to him to restore the power supply to the industry.
They told him that their members are being forced to close down small industrial units and factories due to the power scarcity.
The FAPCCI leaders told the CM that production has come down drastically for the last one month as there were frequent power cuts. “Small units are the most affected and they are facing an imminent threat of closure,” they told Kirankumar reddy.
The FAPCCI said that its members are unable to create 60,000 new jobs as proposed earlier because of the power cuts imposed on the industries and factories.
They requested the CM to buy additional power even at higher rates from other states and restore the power supply to the industry. “Or else, we have close down the small industries,” they told him in unequivocal terms.
