Flight Like Demos on Safety Aspect in Volvo Buses

The Transport Minister Botsa Satyanarayana said that the Volvo officials in Sweden were approached who may send a group of representatives to help RTC on safety drill.  He said that the demonstration will be given to the passengers like in the flight to familiarize the passengers with safety aspects.  It includes using emergency exits in case of emergency.

The RTA in its special raids so for seized 346 buses on various violations of the law.  It is a good work.  But it also indicates their slackness to allow so many held and an unknown number of buses avoided getting caught in the State.

Although it is a delayed step, as better late than never, the transport authorities are taking right steps to have a control on the private bus operators to go for safety measures.  Botsa assured that the RTA checks will be done on regular basis now.

The horrifying incident that took a toll of 45 passengers who were burnt in the bus beyond recognition were identified with the help of DNA test results to hand over bodies to respective relatives.

Due to Government’s taking interest in the matter the insurance companies are paying 5 to 70 laksh of rupees to the nearest relative based on the profile of the dead in the Volvo bus mishap that happened at Kothakota, Mahaboobnagar district.
