Fifth Avenue

Shopping1The section of Fifth Avenue that crosses Midtown Manhattan, especially that between 49th Street and 60th Street, is lined with prestigious shops and is consistently ranked among the most expensive shopping streets in the world. In fact, Forbes magazine ranked Fifth Avenue as being the most expensive street in the world.

Bond Street London

Shopping2It is a major shopping street in the West End of London that runs north-south through Mayfair between Oxford Street and Piccadilly. It has been a fashionable shopping street since the 18th century and is currently the home of many high price fashion shops. The southern section is known as Old Bond Street, and the northern section, which is rather more than half the total length, is known as New Bond Street. Bond Street takes its name from Sir Thomas Bond, the head of a syndicate of developers.

Avenue Montaigne

Shopping3Avenue Montaigne is a street in the 8th arrondisement of Paris, France which was originally called the allée des Veuves (widows' alley) because women in mourning gathered there, but the street has changed much since those days of the early 18th century. The current name comes from Michel de Montaigne, a writer of the French Renaissance. Avenue Montaigne boasts numerous stores specializing in high fashion, such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Chanel, Fendi, Valentino and Ralph Lauren, as well as jewellers like Bulgari and other upscale establishments such as the Plaza Athénée hotel.

Bahnhofstrasse

Shopping4It is Zurich's main downtown street and one of the world's most expensive and exclusive shopping avenues. In 2011, a study has named the Bahnhofstrasse as the most expensive street for retail property in Europe, and the third most expensive worldwide. Some of the many shops include Ambassador House, Apple Store, Cartier, Globus, Gucci, Giorgio Armani, Prada and more.

Via Monte Napoleone

Shopping5It is also spelt as Via Montenapoleone, is an elegant and expensive street in Milan, Italy, famous for its ready-to-wear fashion and jewelry shops. It is the most important street of the Milan Fashion District known as the Quadrilatero della moda where many well-known fashion designers have their high-end boutiques and stores from Italian designers to all the world famous brands. The most exclusive Italian shoemakers maintain boutiques on this street.

Rodeo Drive

Shopping6Rodeo Drive of Beverly Hills, California is a shopping district known for designer label and haute couture fashion. The name generally refers to a three-block long stretch of boutiques and shops but the street stretches further north and south. It's like a dreamland for shoppers.

Ginza

Shopping7It is a district of Chuo Tokyo, located south of Yaesu and Kyōbashi, west of Tsukiji, east of Yūrakuchō and Uchisaiwaichō, and north of Shinbashi. Ginza is recognized as one of the most luxurious shopping districts in the world. Known as an upscale area of Tokyo with numerous department stores, boutiques, restaurants and coffeehouses. Many upscale fashion clothing flagship stores are located here, being also recognized as having the highest concentration of western shops in Tokyo. Prominent are Chanel, Dior, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton. Flagship electronic retail stores like the Sony showroom and the Apple Store are also here.

P.C. Hooftstraat

Shopping8It is a shopping street in Amsterdam, Netherlands which was named in 1876 after Pieter Corneliszoon Hooft (1581–1647), a Dutch historian, poet and playwright. The street is located in the stadsdeel Amsterdam Oud-Zuid and runs from the Stadhouderskade to the Vondelpark which is crossed by the Hobbemastraat and the Van Baerlestraat. P.C. Hooftstraat has developed to become one of the most expensive shopping streets in the Netherlands. Several international and exclusive brand stores are visited here, such as Cartier, Chanel, Diesel (brand), Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Hermès, Hugo Boss and Louis Vuitton including Dutch brands Oilily, Blue Blood Denim, G-star and men's fashion retailer Oger also have stores here.

It is a carfree zone in Copenhagen, Denmark which is a popular tourist attraction in the centre of town is the longest pedestrian shopping area in Europe. The city's most famous and expensive stores, such as Illums Bolighus, Magasin du Nord, the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Factory, and chain stores, are located along the strip. There are also a multitude of souvenir shops and fast food outlets.

Found in Madrid's wealthiest neighborhood, it is (together with Calle Preciados also in the capital), one of Spain's (and Europe's) most expensive streets arguably the least famous of the world's great shopping streets. Great international brands and designers are found here.
