It seems, many well noted film makers such as Priyadarshan and Farah Khan are competing for the remake rights of this Kamal Hassan starrer flick. The chance of either Salman Khan or Akshay Kumar playing the role, enacted by Kamal Hassan in the original is high.

The film makers of the original version are yet to negotiate on the remake rights. If everything sets right, the film will soon go on – location, in Hindi!
