Hundreds Of Indian Students Face Jail In US College Scam:- The justice department of Michigan announced the arrest of eight Indians involved in the visa fraud. Hundreds of students from India are facing deportion and criminal charges who are enrolled for a fake university run by US undercover agents. Eight Indians were arrested in this case after which raids have been initiated to snare the racketeers. The arrested Indians are identified as Barath Kakireddy from Florida; Suresh Kandala of Virginia; Phanideep Karnati from Kentucky; Prem Rampeesa of North Carolina; Santosh Sama from California; Avinash Thakkallapally of Pennsylvania; Aswanth Nune from Georgia and Naveen Prathipati of Texas.

The university was floated in 2015 and was an undercover operation dubbed by Paper Chase. It was designed to identify the recruiters and entities who are engaged in immigration fraud. Hundreds of students enrolled for this fake institution and they were taken into custody by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). As per the early estimates the arrested students are said to be 200 and the estimated enrolled students are said to be 600. There are talks that all these students may face jail term.

The surprising fact is that all the enrolled students are aware of the fake university and they are willful collaborators.
