Session's court exempts Salman Khan

Court exempted Salman Khan appearance who is under trail for his involvement in the September 2002 hit and run case on Monday by his counsel Ashok Mundargi.

The hearing which was in process post the actor filing a review against a magistrate's order which had committed the case to the sessions court after invoking the charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder under Section 304-II of the IPC, which attracts up to 10 years imprisonment.

Actor's lawyer Ashok Mundargi requested the bench that the actor be exempted since his presence was not necessary. The judge hearing the case observed that while Salman's presence was not absolutely necessary since the orders on his criminal revision application is pending, asked the khan's advocate to file his written submissions too and adjourned the matter to may 8 for arguments.
