The Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor affirms deceiving on ex girlfriend, says he has grown up now. When actor Deepika Padukone declared that a certain ex-boyfriend had cheated on her, the world pointed fingers at Ranbir Kapoor. But, the actor stayed mum on the issue. Now,the 29-year-old has broken his silence, and confessed that he had, in fact, cheated in a relationship in the past.
“Yes, I have, out of immaturity, out of inexperience, out of taking advantage of certain temptations, out of callousness,” said Ranbir in an interview in the October edition of entertainment glossy Stardust.
“You realise it now, when you grow up and you value it more — why be in a relationship, why be committed to someone when you cannot be committed? I’ve realised that now. That’s why I don’t want to jump into a relationship with anybody because ... unless you have a special bond, a special equation with somebody, somebody who you can be committed to, somebody who can trust you, who you can respect, there’s no point,” he says.
Ranbir and Deepika were dating for two years before they broke up in November 2009. At the time, it was rumoured that Ranbir had cheated on the actor with his Rajneeti co-star Katrina Kaif, which led to their split.
Rumours and the past aside, Ranbir believes that infidelity can destroy a relationship. “Infidelity is the deal breaker…Once it comes in, respect goes away, trust goes away and these are the pillars of a relationship you can’t f*** around with it.”
Besides Deepika, Ranbir has also been linked with Nargis Fakhri and Angela Jonsson —both have been bikini models. So, is that his type? “No man, whenever I have met them, they were not wearing a bikini. No such luck. I think a woman looks best in a sari.”
About his Rockstar co-star Fakhri, he adds, “I am extremely fond of Nargis, I mean I can safely say she is the best actor I have worked with so far in my movies and I respect her for that. She is a great girl and extremely close to my mother. She is a buddy.”
