Udta Punjab Story

The movie is based on the drug abuse in Punjab which has become a serious threat to the society. Tommy Singh (Shahid Kapoor) is a rockstar who is a drug addict and he loses his passion of singing because of the addictions. Sarjat Singh (Diljit Dosanjh) is a cop, Preet Sahni (Kareena Kapoor) is a doctor and Pinky (Alia Bhatt) is a migrant labourer. Sarjit’s younger brother gets addicted to drugs and the reveals many interesting things about the drug mafia. Udta Punjab Analysis

"Udta Punjab" focuses on the artificial highs and the real lows that characters face. The movie is a realistic and emotional journey. It is also high on abusive language. Director Abhishek Chaubey has done a brilliant work in scripting the film. The movie has an amazing grip over the narration of the story. He portrays a serious issue in an entertaining way.
