Tuntari Analysis

Tuntari Movie Review and Ratings

While the story has huge uniqueness, the screenplay makes it more interesting. The interlinking of the fantasy element with the social life, is appreciable. The first half of the film has lot of entertainment, while the second half goes on a bit serious note. Last twenty minutes elevates the proceedings quite well and the climax fight is neatly executed.

Songs are the huge speed breakers of the film as it disturbs the flow of the interesting plot of the film. Until the climax, the proceedings would not have any logic. The chemistry between the lead pair is completely nil. Even the boxing competition scenes appear silly, stretching it too far, than the normal.

Performance

Nara Rohit is generally identified in some responsible roles. But this time, he managed to give his best as a careless youth. His body language evokes good fun through out the film, which has turned as the major highlight of Tuntari.

Latha Hegde has just done an ok-ok performance. Kabir Singh as villain has nothing much to do, but the last ten minutes he steals the show. Ali as referee is entertaining and rest others gave a satisfactory performance.

Sai Karthik’s background score is good, but the misplacement of the songs in the film, makes his music sound low. Camera work is decent. Editing has too many flaws, as there are several unwanted scenes and songs which can be easily chopped off to make the film better. Production values are decent and so was the art direction.

Coming to director Kumar Nagendra, he just did an average performance, even though the plot is interesting. But he balanced the climax well, which is the maor highlight of the entire film.

Tuntari Final Word

The interest pot was spoiled by the narration. However, the huge entertainment in the first half and the interesting climax makes Tuntari, a one time watch.
