Ajay Devgn fights with a real tiger

Sajjid Khan on the sets of Himmatwala smiled when Ajay Devgn pointed out that there was no meaning to the title of the movie if he chose to use special effects instead of fighting the tiger in the movie. He thought it was a joke but Ajay had his minds fixed on shooting the sequence with a real tiger.

Director, Sajjid Khan who originally planned for special effects for the shot was taken by surprise when Ajay Devgn insisted on shooting with a real tiger. He grappled with the real tiger in the acting. Sajjid recalled the shooting scenes as he tells, “Ajay is a superstar, hands down. But the tiger is painfully ignorant of that. He had a deep cut on the back of the neck on the first day when he went into the cage. He didn't ask for the shot to be packed up. After some first aid, Ajay went back into the sets and resumed the shooting”.

The tiger became adjusted to the superstar status probably on the second day. It was much calmer and Ajay Devgn has shot a nerve wracking action sequence for the movie. Kids would love the shot greatly, Sajjid says.

He said, since we haven't seen a tiger fight in a movie since a long time and also that the movie had been set around 1983, the scene will add quality to the movie along with the powerful dialogues of the action star. He adds that the need to save tigers today in this scenario will be another message that would be conveyed.

Himmatwala is gearing up for a release on March 29.
