Shahrukh Khan’s detention in the US airport is still receiving mixed responses from the Bollywood stars. While Irfan Khan already being empathetic to towards the situation, romantic hero John Abraham has today said that the arrest was justified. He has said that Shahrukh Khan has handled the situation with much grace. It may be noted that even John Abraham was detailed in 2009 and said that it was part and parcel of the security measure.
"I have been in that detention space, where the FBI was called in because I had Afganistan mentioned in my passport, as I had shot there for two months for my film Kabul Express. There wasn't much hue and cry about this as I never wanted to use the incident as a media peg for the film. I was in for six hours and I was asked the strangest questions. And of course, Shah Rukh would agree that racial profiling could be a pretty much correct term for it because its mostly coloured people who are detained,” he said.
It may be noted that Aamir Khan said that he was never detained in airport when he was asked by the media whether the surname created problem to Shahrukh Khan. (Phani)
